Giving Tree 2008 : Thank YOU!

Lemon-Aid wishes to thank everyone for helping to make The Giving Tree Project '08 a success!! Thanks to your support, we were able to fill the wishes of many underprivileged children throughout southern California. The outpouring of your time, energy, and enthusiasm is what made all of this possible. At a time when the country is in financial crisis and many of us are struggling, your generosity proved people can still pull together and make a meaningful difference.

On Saturday, December 27th we hosted a wrap party to wrap the hundreds of gifts we received for The Giving Tree Project. Though the stacks of boxes were literally piled up to the ceiling, we managed to wrap every single gift with the help of many volunteers. If not for the help of the volunteer elves, the kids would've received gifts with post-its attached, so thank you so much!! Santa came a little late this year, but on Sunday, December 28th we extended the holiday season just a little bit more at 5 Acres in Pasadena. We threw a holiday party for the children at 5 Acres to distribute the gifts and make it a personal experience for everyone involved. The day started with a very interactive magic show and ended with Santa personally delivering a present to EACH child. It was incredibly touching to see how happy and engaged the children were. We saw the difference being made and wish to thank you for being that difference.

Because of legal restrictions we cannot show photos of the children's faces, but as you can see, the backs of their heads are very attractive and they were all excited and happy.
